The Grand Rapids Improv Festival is a three-day celebration of improvisational comedy in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, MI. This year’s GRIF will take place Thursday through Saturday, October 8th-10th.

GRIF 2026, now in our twelfth year, is excited to welcome troupes coming from all over the continent to showcase their talents in performances and workshops. We’re looking forward to our biggest festival ever with shows, workshops, community events and more!

The success of the festival depends on the many sponsors, volunteers, and performers, and is produced by a small committee of local comedians. Events are held at The Comedy Project in Grand Rapids.
